Road Bikes, Triathlon Bikes and Cyclocross

When you reach speeds that do not forgive any mistakes, the wheel must be more than a mere racing machine. It is expected to be a perfect, custom-made concept, developed precisely to the point of being able to translate every step on the pedals into propulsion without weightlessness and yet withstand the greatest loads. It is not enough to have already overcome your own limits - you want to break (your own) records countless times? Then you are exactly right with us!

No matter if you are just starting to get enthusiastic about the sport of road cycling, if you are in the middle of it or if you are already a professional: We have a repertoire that will meet your requirements and share your fascination for a sport that is hard to understand for most people ... because in which other discipline do you merge so much with your sports equipment? We suspect no other discipline than road cycling. Our exceptional situation thanks to Corona has made professional bikes a rarity with many dealers. No other year seems to be able to match the sales figures of 2020, when the first lockdown triggered the bicycle boom par excellence. Because our sales consultants have always pre-ordered the latest models months in advance, we can offer the best deals even in these turbulent times, offering bikes that are already sold out by others. So we make sure we have supplies well in advance so that you have the best possible selection. After all, in no other area is it as important to find your dream bike as in the extreme and professional segment. You will spend many hours with your machine during each training session, so you should pay attention to custom design. Take your time to choose YOUR bike, because it has to be more than just a means to an end. You must be able to merge with your bike, form a perfect unit and fully rely on the performance of all the relevant components.

What distinguishes a high-quality racing bike?

Roadbikes

The highest quality components and a super-light, aerodynamic construction make our racing bikes both jewels and true high-performance racing machines. Typical for racing bikes are light and stiff diamond frames, narrow racing saddles, curved handlebars and slender, low-profile tires as well as rigid forks, which - thanks to the most modern components - ultimately allow a rousing dynamic.

On a road bike, your seat remains stretched, and the absence of a comfortable suspension promises maximum efficiency and loss-free energy transfer. On a road bike, the focus is on perfected aerodynamics as well as a heavy implementation that allows you to pedal powerfully even at high speeds. Today's racing bikes weigh on average between 8 and 9 kilos, but at least 6.8 kilos. The limits are set by regulations. Due to the center of gravity, the safety of racing bicycles is initially put on the back burner with regard to the StVZo, but they can still be retrofitted. You can choose your gears according to your riding style, although they differ in the fine tuning. In the meantime you even get electronic support: E-shift systems that react much more precisely and quickly. Other differences also make for heavier or lighter wheels. The handlebars should fit your stature, which means that the shape can be more important than the material, because the condition of your limbs does not forgive ignorance in the long run. For this purpose, you should consider the stem, with which you can significantly optimize your seating position. Your overall attention should be on reliability and function. So make your individual preferences the measure of all things, decide, if possible, independent of price. Specifications in the racing area also allow you to choose between off-road or paved tracks. Triathlons also enjoy great popularity, making the scope for variation clear. Of course, you will also find cyclocross and triathlon bikes in our portfolio.

The riding characteristics depend on the quality of the frame

Carbon, wood, steel or aluminum make the difference, whereas the more expensive carbon absorbs shocks optimally. Determine the exact purpose of your racing bike in order to decide on the right type of bike for you.

Start small for once ... Or do you already count yourself among the professionals?

Roadbikes

The fact is that there are already reliable bikes in the lower price segment, but there is a big gap to the professional bikes when the individual components as well as wheel characteristics are examined. It starts with the weight, because it is often the material that makes the difference, just like the wheel, where decisive factors regarding agility and acceleration are involved.

What is required from beginner to professional riders and what is also fulfilled by low priced models is an adequate comfort, after all all all riders sit on the saddle for a long time and do not want to miss riding fun on long tours. Fortunately, we are able to advertise even cheaper bikes full of conviction. The cheap models only let you feel that carbon outranks aluminum when it comes to the seat posts.

The price classification:

Beginners should start with racing bikes from 600 -1500 Euro, while the middle class is well served with bikes between 1500 and 3000 Euro. As a pro, you'll be happy to spend up to 10 000 or 15 000 Euros, although you can also find suitable models from 3000 Euros on - depending on what the pro is looking for ...

Rim vs. Disc brake

Whoever reaches over 80 km/h does not want to compromise on reliability, especially when it comes to braking efficiency. At the same time, however, the choice of brake remains a question of taste, as the advantages and disadvantages are more or less in balance. But where is the disc brake advantage? The ability to control the braking force is decisive, for example. With disc brakes, this force is much finer. Here the converted energy is higher overall, you need less power, which gives you an advantage on long descents. Even if the weather lets you down, your disc brake won't, and wear and tear is minimal. The bottom line is that even in bad weather conditions, a disc brake will always deliver what it promises, provided it is properly installed and bled. A further plus is the interchangeability of the wheels, which alone allows the disc brake. Conclusion: Since weight is a very important component of your bike, you should think carefully about which components you want to use. Carefully weigh up what you want in detail. For the higher quality disc brake, calculate with a price difference between 300-1000 Euros, which is worth it if you don't want to make your tours dependent on the weather and/or if you prefer more safety and traction, i.e. wider tires, like on touring or gravel bikes. All in all, it depends on which races you ride and in which athlete class you see yourself. In the end, your demands and not your wallet should decide about your riding pleasure. You might consider a Gravel-Bike or Cyclocross. The latter offers wider and coarser tires and disc brakes and is suitable for off-road use.

More possibilities than you think ...
