Mountain bike hardtail 29"
The 29er hardtails, also known as "twentyniners", have now become fully established despite initial doubts on the part of bike fans, and are winning mountain bike/CC World Cups left, right and center. What's special about these MTB hardtails is that manufacturers are now able to make extremely light and torsionally stiff frames out of aluminum or carbon. This allows vertical forces to be absorbed without sacrificing frame rigidity.in combination with the 29-inch wheels, it is extremely smooth and stable, which makes for greater riding safety, especially when riding downhill.

When accelerating, a 29" wheel initially moves a little more hesitantly than a 27.5" wheel, for example , but it reaches significantly higher speeds during the ride, which suits both racers and touring riders. In addition, it offers extremely good rollover and steering behavior. This protects the material on the one hand, but also the rider himself on the other. This generates a noticeable increase in traction and comfort – without the need for rear suspension. Thanks to the high contact area, there is also a higher cornering speed and, thanks to the low weight, there are no limits to sporting success uphill or downhill. Impacts from stones or branches are minimized, and in combination with the profiled off-road tires for optimal grip and high riding comfort, the 29er hardtail is an absolute all-rounder with flexible uses on asphalt, forest paths or even on trails.
Advantages of 29er bikes
One of the biggest advantages of 29er tires is that the bottom bracket sits lower in relation to the wheel axle, thus lowering the center of gravity "between the wheels". This means that the front wheel rises less quickly when going uphill and the risk of overturning when going downhill is reduced. The absolute controllability and increased traction ensure an unforgettable driving performance. The specially adapted frame geometries offer uncomplicated handling and an ergonomically optimized seating position despite the 29" tires. Most 29er hardtails offer a choice between several frame sizes. The high rigidity is provided by the commonly used aluminum, and in the high-end sector also carbon, which ensures optimal power transmission and maximum stability. A dropper seatpost is now also included with most mountain bikes, to allow the seating position to be varied as needed.

What is the difference between a full-suspension bike and a hardtail?
In contrast to a full-suspension bike, a hardtail is only equipped with a suspension fork, which explains the lower weight on the one hand and, on the other, allows for more efficient power transmission. The suspension travel can be selected depending on the intended use and ranges between 100 and 130/140 mm. For everyday use on asphalt, forest paths or easier trails, a suspension travel of 100 mm is perfectly sufficient. The lack of a double suspension also results in significantly lower maintenance and a lower weight. Powerful disc brakes ensure perfect deceleration of the bike, and the gearshift also relies on high-quality components with precise, mountain-compatible transmission. The all-rounder has done away with unnecessary, sophisticated technology and focused on the essentials: riding fun, flexibility and durability. That's why the MTB Hardtails 29" are available at absolutely affordable entry-level prices of around €500 to €1000.
